Demo from your own org

Install a demo data package that will let you demo common GoMeddo scenarios from your own SDO, Sandbox, Production or Developer org. Or any org really πŸ™‚

Need to demo right away with no prep time? Have a look at our preconfigured demo org.

5.1 Install GoMeddo in your Salesforce org

Spin up a Salesforce org (SDO, Sandbox, Developer or any other relevant environment) and Install the latest version of GoMeddo.

5.2 Assign Licences and permissions

GoMeddo License

You can skip this step if you're on a Sandbox

  1. Go to Setup and search for Installed Packages

  2. In the Installed Packages section, click on Manage Licenses next to GoMeddo

  3. In the Licensed Users section, click Add Users

  4. Add the users you want to use GoMeddo

GoMeddo Admin Permission Set

  1. Go to Setup and search for Users

  2. Click on the user you want to assign the permission set to

  3. Scroll down to the Permission Set Assignments section

  4. Click Edit Assignments

  5. Select the GoMeddo Admin permission set and click on the Add arrow

5.3 Install GoMeddo Demo Kit package

Make sure to select Compile only the Apex in the package

Use this URL to install the package into an SDO, Production or Developer org

Use this URL to install the package into a Sandbox org

Make sure to select Install for Admins Only and Compile only the Apex in the package as in the screenshot below

  1. After installation, go to AppLauncher and check that you have access to the GoMeddo Demo Kit app

    1. If you don’t, assign the GoMeddo Demo Kit permission set to your user

  2. From the app, click Deploy under the relevant use case

  3. We currently provide the following use cases, click through for more details and a demo script:

Edit the Resource structure

Set up the Resource Types & Resources hierarchy

Define calendar titles and hovers

Customise the Reservation fields shown on the calendar and hovers

Remove Double Booking permission from System Administrator profile

You may need to do this if you are using an older version of GoMeddo. You will see a message on the Reservation Form informing you to do this if that is the case, else you can ignore this step.

  • Go to Setup > Profiles

  • Go to the System Administrator profile

  • Under the Custom Permissions section, remove B25.Allow Double Booking
